The evening of May 8th, 2003 brought Greg Brown back to the Nevada City/Grass Valley area for a benefit concert for KVMR. Bringing along his favorite accompanist, Bo Ramsey, Greg performed some old favorites as well as a few new gems, including When My Morning Comes Around by his new wife Iris Dement, who just happened to be sitting in the audience that evening.

John McCutcheon's annual visit to the Nevada City, Grass Valley area on Jan. 26, 2007 was recorded, including the song, "Oprah Seat" that was also released on John's latest CD, This Fire. John has graciously allowed KVMR to release a limited number of these original live concert reordings on this 2-CD sets as Thank You Gifts for your support of KVMR.

On the morning of Thanksgiving Eve, 2005, the historic concert took place at the California state prison's New Folsom facility Michael Franti & Spearhead, with special guests, played for sixty prisoners and forty prison officials and guests. Nearly 3,500 prisoners watched via closed circuit TV. The concert was recorded and rebroadcast on KVMR FM later that day and made available to community radio stations across the country.

From March 12 to July 1 of 2000, Larry Hillberg backpacked from Albuquerque, New Mexico to his Michigan hometown for his 40th high school reunion. With every night's stop a mystery, along a mix of back roads and trails, he trekked almost 2000 miles over eight states. Every two weeks he phoned Danny and Julie Chauvin on their Street Legal show on KVMR/FM, Nevada City, California, and chatted on-air about his travels. On October 9, 2005, this story of his adventure was broadcast live on KVMR/FM Radio.
