Stephen J. Baker, RG, CHG, is a California Certified Hydrogeologist and Registered Geologist and is the founder of the recently created program named Ground Water Watch™. He contributed to developing the environmental policy for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and was a founding board member of the Cooperative Solutions Program, which was assigned a California Pilot Project by California Governor Wilson's office during the early 1990s.
Mr. Baker has developed Ground Water Watch™ to provide a means for small and large groundwater users to collaborate and solve sustainability issues through an adaptive strategy that considers cultural changes and institutional dynamics while strengthening the available database. Development of Ground Water Watch™ is currently running its pilot program in Nevada and Placer Counties, California. This radio programming is a part of the public educational component of the Ground Water Watch™ program that can be used in rural residential, water well utilizing, populating areas of the United States of America.
