Haines has also substituted on many of KVMR's blues shows, including a six month stint for Lonnie "Guitar" Mack and the Gospel Show for Ken Crow. He also does his own blues show at 1:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month. The Earth Mysteries Show, on Mondays (except the 1st Monday of each month) at Noon, since 1987 continues to assist listeners in "pulling the wool over their own eyes." Dr. Ely has personally changed the sleeping habits of Nevada County; people are actually getting up by noon to hear the Earth Mysteries show or some blues. |

Haines Ely M.D., Local dermatologist (Professor of Dermatology UC Davis) has underwritten the blues show Tuesday afternoons since 1986 as "The dermatologist who loves the blues."
