In a seperate bowl mix a Pittsburgh Pennsylvanian raised in Chicago, listening to Dad's Bob dylan records on the little plastic turntable. Add life's seasonings. Combine both parts with an amazing Bob Dylan collection. Add mutual respect, no veneration, for Bob Dylan. What you have there is the recipe for Danny & Julie Chauvin's "Street Legal," their joint effort to canonize Bob Dylan. Danny's inspiration to do the show was "Mainly to share our collection. I don't think most folks have any idea how versatile he is. | ![]() Julie Chauvin |

Julie agrees, "Dylan's influence and creativity are vast and have continued almost without interruption for about 40 years; as long as I've been alive! The different phases of his musical career have been behind me my whole life. Other influences in Danny's life: "Robbie Robertson, D.L. Menard, Hank Williams, Ray Charles, Ledbelly and on and on." Julie's musical influences include: "The Stones, The Band, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Cockburn, The Beatles, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Emmy Lou Harris, Mary Black, Hazel Dickons, John Hurt, Ray Charles, Randy Newman, Joan Baez, Van Morrison, Arghh... It goes on and on." For writers she says: "Edith Wharton's 'Ethan Fromm' and Jack London's 'To Build A Fire' stand out as stories that made me want to read. I like John Steinbeck, Robinson Jeffers, Willa Cather, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Margaret Atwood. I love short stories of many types and even like Steven King, John Grisham and Ray Bradbury! Julie plays banjo "a bit" and has a garden and likes to hike and jog with her sister saying, "Overall I have been blessed with a lucky life. Doing Dylan with Danny is icing on the cake." Danny's closing comments, "Just thanks for all the great feedback and for giving us the opportunity to share our Dylan collection."
