KVMR, a listener supported radio station, provides on air Community Calendar (CC) and Public Service Announcements (PSA) as a public service to the community. If you have an upcoming event or fundraiser that you would like to have announced, please review our policy for details. Your feedback on our CC/PSA policy is encouraged and welcome.

Inclusion of an announcement on the Community Calendar will be on a space-available basis. Community Calendar announcements will generally be limited to Nevada County events sponsored by public (city, county, state) and not-for-profit organizations, and/or those that foster the arts.

KVMR reserves the right to review and refuse any announcement and is under no obligation to broadcast any information. KVMR assumes no liability for anything that may result from the information aired. KVMR also reserves the right to rewrite or edit your submission for clarity, accuracy and adherence to broadcast standards.

• Limited to one-time events
• Public-sponsored events and not-for-profit fundraisers
• Art and entertainment events such as concerts

Submit items for the community calendar at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Click here to submit your announcement online.

Generally, CC items are read for 5 days prior to the event at:

• M-F @ 6:30 am, 1:05 pm and 5:30 pm
• Sat. and Sun. @ 7:30 am, 1:00 pm and 5:30 pm

Please note that, when the CC contains numerous items, KVMR broadcasters are instructed to read a limited number of announcements with preference by date.

• Workshops, seminars
• Lessons and classes
• Repeat entertainment events that occur on a regular or frequent basis

2 PSA items are read in each broadcast hour excepting those that include the community calendar. The announcements are read in rotation for the two weeks prior to the event.

Public Service Announcements for regularly occurring events may run on an ongoing basis.
