2nd Annual American River Music Festival

The 2nd annual American River Music Festival is a celebration of Americana, folk and blues on the river...coming Friday thru Sunday, September 19th thru 21st on the beautiful South Fork of the American River in the Coloma Lotus Valley.

You'll get the chance to stay in delightful riverfront lodging, go whitewater rafting, riverfront hiking, with kids activites, great food, award winning local beverages, and terrific music on the river.

This year's lineup includes Ray Bonneville, Joe Craven, Gandolf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, the female superstar Refugees, Keith Greninger, David Jacobs Strain Trio, Blame Sally and many more...

KVMR Music Sale

Join KVMR on Saturday, September 20th at the Veteran's Hall in Nevada City for a huge music sale. That's right, another music sale, KVMR’s largest of the year. Bigger than ever, and just in time for early and super-inexpensive holiday shopping. LPs and CDs galore at low, low prices offered to you in our fundraising event for community radio. KVMR Program Committee Election

Nominations are being taken through Friday, September 5th for a broadcaster-elected seat on KVMR's Program Committee. One seat will be filled via election at the station's General Meeting on Wednesday, September 10th, 7pm, Miner’s Foundry.

Broadcasters may nominate themselves or another broadcaster in good standing, by emailing the name to program@kvmr.org, leaving the nomination on voicemail at 265-9073 x 211 or mailing it to;

KVMR is improving the way we handle our Public Service and Community Calendar announcements. We now have a new online Submission form at; http://kvmr.org/about/psaform.html#formhead for this purpose.

If you are able to submit your announcement via this submission page and your announcement adheres to our PSA Policy at; http://kvmr.org/about/psapolicy.html, your announcement will assuredly be included.

If you must submit your announcements via direct email or postal mail, your announcement must be rewritten and typed by a KVMR Volunteer and could be delayed or passed over if we are short the required volunteer resources.
